Mobile Phone Service will Remain Blocked in Pakistan on Friday 21st September

According to the news spread through social networking websites and SMS, The mobile phone service will remain blocked/closed in Pakistan on Friday 21st September in the big cities of Pakistan like Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi from 9:00AM to 11:00PM. This news has been spreading quickly through the SMS and social networking sites like Gacebook, Google, and twitter.

The mobile phone service was previously disconnected or remained block/suspended in some part of the country on recent Eid Day. This action is just to prevent from the any unhappy incident due to terrorism.

The government of Pakistan has announced the public holiday on 21st September (Friday) for the protest against the blasphemous movie made by the Americans. It has been notified that the government and private sector of Pakistan will remain closed on Friday, and it will be the day of expression of love for the Prophet (PBUH). The whole Pakistani Muslims will protest against the Anti-Islam movie.

Update: The news has now been confirmed that PTA, Federal Ministry, and cellular companies have announced that the Mobile phone service will remain suspended or blocked on 21st September (Friday). The mobile phones using (Mobilink, Zong, Jazz, Warid, Telenor, Ufone) Sims, will remain off for the whole day on Friday 21st September 2012.
