Pakistani nation went into darkness due to the power outages in the country. National Power Control Centre (NPCC) has become faulty, as the apparatus are malfunctioning on Sunday. The electricity in different cities of Pakistan is shutdown.
Including Karachi a large part of Pakistan is facing electricity shortages. In Sindh, Sukkur, Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Shikarpur Nawabshah and Mirpur Khas are facing acute shortage of electricity. In Punjab, Lahore, Multan and Islamabad the load shedding has become the major problem. In Balochistan 18 cities including Quetta district have gone into darkness due to non-availability of electricity. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the electric energy or power is totally disrupt.
1200-Megawatt Hubco Power plant has tripped due to system failure leaving the country into darkness due to electrical equipment problem. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is trying its level best to solve the electricity problem on emergent basis. In Karachi KESC almost 36 grid stations have been tripped. Chief Minister Punjab is taking the steps against electricity shortages by distribution of solar lamps.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ahsraf has taken serious notice of the electricity power breakdown. He has sent the instructions to concerned department to overcome the failure as soon as possible.
The electricity breakdown will take 2 to 3 hours more to solve the problem. The technical fault has occurred due to which the electricity is off in several parts of the country (Pakistan). The major departments of Pakistan are facing the acute shortage of electric energy, and waiting for the restoration electricity. The electricity outages are yet to be resolved in Pakistan.
