New York, USA, Pakistan: The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met Asif Ali Zardar the Pakitani President on Monday, and said him thanks for handling the several days of protests against the blasphemous movie or Anti-Islam Movie.
Hillary welcomed the Zardari as her friend, and introduced him to the current ambassadors to Pakistan, Richard Olson. Clinton said “We are very much pleased and appreciate the strong response of your government”, she said this at the start of their meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the General Assembly of United Nation, which opens on Tuesday.
The President Asif Ali Zardari said that, it had been a difficult time for all the Pakistani leaders because reporters of different TV channels were unshered out of the room. Pakistani has been rocked by the days of protests, which were going violent in the major cities of Pakistan. It was the day of holiday on 21st September for the protest against blasphemous movie, when 21 persons got dead and more than 200 injured, as Pakistani police fought back to disperse the crowds around the US diplomatic embassies or consoles.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Hina Rabbani Khar insisted on 21st September (Friday) that the ties between Pakistan and USA are improving after hitting a low following the killing of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. Pakistan also didn’t followed the incident, when a US airstrike killed 24 Pakistani troops in November. While going through the statement of Hina Rabbani Khar, it seems that Pakistan is very much afraid of America, and pleasing the America by giving like these statements.
